    Kompass #9, Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln

    Kompass is an open experimental concert format for composition students at the HfMT Köln, bringing together multimedia, instrumental, performative, and electroacoustic works. Federico Isasti is a drummer, composer, and audiovisual software developer from Buenos Aires, based in Cologne, working at the intersection of acoustic ensemble music and live electronics.

  • 23. July 2026 / 19:30 New concert version of was wahr bleibt

    Graduation Concert of composer Joan Tan Jing Wen, Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln

    Joan Tan Jing Wen is a Singapore-born composer whose recent work focuses on attention, perception, and the fallibility of memory. This performance presents a revised version of was wahr bleibt, originally premiered at Sommerblut Kulturfestival Cologne in 2025.

  • Eftichis Vittorakis is a Greek composer based in Cologne, whose work focuses on aesthetics and sonic precision rather than conceptual frameworks.

    The recording features Jonas Evenstad (percussion) and Yeji Jung (piano).

    Musikfestival Bern

    Aline Sarah Müller is a Swiss composer and violinist, currently completing her master's degree in composition at the HfMT Köln. Her music has been performed at Acht Brücken Cologne, the LIMINA Festival Salzburg, and the Darmstädter Ferienkurse.

  • 24 September 2026 Voices from the Killing Jar by Kate Soper
    Graduation Concert of Carlos Lopes, Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln

    Voices from the Killing Jar (2012) is a monodrama for soprano and ensemble with electronics by American composer, writer, and performer Kate Soper. Part monodrama, part song cycle, part opera, the work depicts a series of female protagonists caught in impossible situations, moving through characters from Madame Bovary to Lady Macduff.

    Carlos Lopes is a Portuguese composer and conductor based in Cologne, currently completing a master's degree in New Music Conducting at the HfMT Köln.
