was wahr bleibt for singer, electronics and videO (2025)
was wahr bleibt is an installative performance for voice, electronics, and video that explores the shifting boundaries between perception and memory. In a space where visitors' silhouettes intersect and dissolve within layered video projections, the work makes visible how what we perceive and what remains are in constant flux.
Created in collaboration with composers Irene Tanuwidjaja and Joan Tan Jing Wen, was wahr bleibt premiered at the Sommerblut Kulturfestival 2025.
The title translates as "what remains true" while playing with a German double meaning that suggests "what was remains" and quietly questions the solidity of perception and memory. As visitors move through the installation, their shadows become part of the visual narrative, layering, fragmenting, and dissolving into the projected imagery. The work creates a liminal space where the boundaries between observer and observed, between what is remembered and what is imagined, grow permeable and uncertain.
